The history of Imperial Caviar
Imperial Caviar was founded in 1997 by Alireza Korouji. Nearly nine years later, this mechanical engineer turned his attention to Kaluga Queen.
Faced with the decline of wild caviar, he chose to support the Chinese company in sturgeon breeding and caviar production. In doing so, he not only contributed his personal expertise but also dispatched his experienced Persian caviar masters to the Far East to train their local counterparts in the fundamentals and intricacies of caviar production.
Today, we produce our caviar within the Kaluga Queen infrastructure, benefiting from a close collaboration that grants us the first choice in selection.
With 25 years of active involvement in the caviar business, this exquisite product has been a lifelong companion to our family. Rooted in Persia and close to the Caspian Sea, we've had the opportunity to taste the now rare wild caviar and know how delicious it once was. As one of the few merchants, we can draw a direct comparison to farmed caviar, giving us a significant advantage in selecting only the finest products.
